A multitude of colors on the outside of the helmet is constructed by an Injection molded outer shell, Which is also combined with an EPS shock-absorbing inner shell.

It's straightforward to adjust the helmet's size by replacing the inner pads for different sizes of thickness. TSG are calling this their tuned fit system, but In all seriousness, it's not any different from most other helmets you can purchase.

The helmet comes with two different thickness sizes of inner pads to choose from.

TSG has always had great shaping; what I mean by this is that it's perfectly designed to fit your head, which stops the helmet from slipping and wobbling around.

The helmet does come all the way down to the back of your head, So you can be safe in the knowledge knowing that you're in tire head is protected.

Comes with 14 vents for optimum ventilation. Airflow around the helmet insurers for optimal circulation reduces the buildup of heat within the helmet. TSG Has designed it this way, forcing fresh air into the helmet while removing the buildup of hot air.

You're likely still going to sweat in the helmet, But TSG has thought about this by installing antiallergic padding, which is quick-drying, allowing you to wash them with no problems.

Now let's take a look at one of the best selling helmets on Amazon. You may notice with this helmet that I have listed the price point in comparison to the others.

The price comes in at a lot less than some of the others. Because of this, it's made my lineup for the best helmet for an electric skateboard.

The value for money for this helmet is excellent. Although you're still getting good protection, It's just not going to be as good as some of the more expensive helmets you can purchase.

My view on this is if you do have the funds available to protect your head is something you don't want to skimp on.

It is comfortable and does have a snug fit; I couldn't feel any wobbling or shaking when turning my head—something you do thousands of times throughout any ride.

It comes in a wide for righty of colors, so there's a good chance you'll find something you would like.

Bell Super 3R

As you look at the picture and you think this is just an ordinary full-face electric skateboarding helmet. But the Bell 3R has a little party trick.

On both sides and the back of the helmet, you will find three release clips. When you release these clips, it allows you to remove the faceguard, turning it into an ordinary helmet.

This is extremely useful, As not every occasion will require you to wear a full-face helmet. But having the option of removing the faceguard, Does open up a lot of possibilities when it comes to saving on storage space.
You do also get a GoPro (Camera) mount that comes with the helmet. This is a nice touch from Bell, as you don't usually see this with many other manufacturers.

The sun visor is adjustable, which could come in handy during those rides at sunrise and sunset.

One thing I like most about this helmet is the ventilation. There are vents situated all over the entire helmet, which means even in warmer climates. You won't be getting uncomfortable.

The Bell 3R is comfortable, lightweight, and easy to transport around. I like this helmet a lot, and I think it covers everything you would need in a helmet for your electric skateboard.

FOX's full-face helmet is lightweight but still offers the protection needed when riding on your electric skateboard.

Despite being full-face, the helmet is lightweight, and you won't feel unbalanced when turning and looking at your surroundings.

It comes in a wide variety of designs in both men's and women's colors.
The Fox Proframe Full Face MTB is extremely breathable, allowing lots of airflow past your face. So on those warm days, you aren't going to feel the heat on long rides.

There are plenty of vents on the top and back of the helmet, which gives you all-around cooling.

One excellent feature this helmet has is a magnetic neck strap. Because of this option of having a quick release, you can easily remove the helmet while wearing safety gloves or protective wrist straps.

With the helmet being Fullface, it makes it slightly harder to store away than some of the more traditional skate helmets.

TSG Pass Helmet

The TSG Pass Helmet is probably one of the favorites among electric skateboards. You see plenty of riders wearing them on social media like Instagram.

I think it's one of the best-looking full-face helmets you can buy.
Do you have a wide selection of the boys are choices? If you build up a collection, you can have various types for you, ranging weather conditions.

Some people struggle with full-face helmets when it comes to visibility. They can quite easily Limit your field of view, Which isn't the best thing when you are carving on the roads trying to look out for bumps, cracks, and other vehicles.

But with the TSG pass, the Field of view is massive. You have no problem seeing everything while you're riding on your electric skateboard.
One fantastic feature of this helmet is the foam horseshoe shape you can find on the inside by your mouth and nose. It's there to stop the visor from fogging up, as it forces all the air from your nose and mouth away from the visor.

You have two holes at the front of the helmets designed to strategically force the air through the helmet, which does a surprisingly good job.

But you're not going to get those types of ventilation to compare to something like the Bell Super 3R.

Why Wear a Full Face Helmet?

The reason why many electric skateboarders are now opting for full face helmets is quite simple.
Many crashes that skateboarders may encounter tend to be falling forward. When you're traveling at speeds of 25mph plus, You don't have an awful lot of time to try and brace yourself for impact.
Having the face fully protected stops you from receiving any blows or impacts directly to your face, which could result in a bone fracture or missing teeth.
The full-face helmets are slightly more expensive but paying that little extra will be worth it when you come to pick up the medical or dental bill.
Some members of the public may feel uneasy because they are unable to see your face, But a little nod or a wave will usually put them at rest.

Why Wear a Full Face Helmet
Types Of Helmets To Avoid

The types of helmets you need to avoid are full motorcycle helmets. Although these are the absolute safest option you can buy to protect your head, They are just too bulky and could potentially cause Balance problems while riding.
Limited vision is also a factor with motorcycle helmets as they are a lot more built-up than full-face skateboarding helmets.
As you don't have mirrors as a motorcycle would, You need to have the ability to turn your head quickly, Which is awkward with a bulky, heavy helmet.
Although you have an electric powered skateboard, many people think it's easy, you stand on the thing, and it goes, It can't possibly be that energetic. But depending on your riding style, it can become quite tiring if you're doing a lot of carving and squatting.
So having a helmet with poor ventilation is something you would want to avoid in the summer months.

A conclusion of the best helmet for an electric skateboard

I've hope you've enjoyed this blog post about finding the best helmet for your electric skateboard.

Electric skateboards are only getting faster. Just look at the top speed of the Raptor 2.1.

So safety equipment is probably something you need to think about if you're purchasing your first eboard. Or if you already have one and don't have any safety gear, You need to get yourself at least a crash helmet.

I always tend to favor the full-face helmets because of the added protection it gives around your face and jaw. If you come off of your electric skateboard nine times out of 10, you will be falling forward. So having protection around this area is paramount.

The next area to look at is making sure the helmet is light enough. Suppose you have a heavy helmet, it like a motorbike helmet, for example. You may encounter some balance issues while riding.

Skate helmets that go all the way down and protects the entire back of the head are something you should be looking at as a minimum.
